Blooming Jam Bread

Story

This simple no-bake recipe transforms ordinary bread into a fun, flower-shaped treat that children love to assemble and eat. The layers of buttered bread create a soft, rich base while the jam peeks through the center like a blossoming flower.

Ingredients

white bread slices 4 slices
butter, softened 2 tablespoons
fruit jam (any color) 3-4 tablespoons
flower-shaped cookie cutter (large) 1
flower-shaped cookie cutter (small) 1

Instructions

1

Cut the bread flowers

Using a large flower-shaped cookie cutter, cut 4 flower shapes from the bread slices. Then take 2 of those flowers and use a smaller flower cutter to stamp a small flower shape in the center of each, creating a ring-like shape.

2

Layer the bread

Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each bread flower. Stack them in pairs: place one bread ring (with the small center hole) on top of one solid bread flower, buttered sides facing out. Repeat to make 2 stacks.

3

Fill with jam

Spoon the jam directly into the small flower-shaped opening in the center of each stack. Let it settle naturally into the hollow. Serve immediately or pack for later.
